OtherWorld’s New Digital Collectibles Platform ‘Solo Leveling: Unlimited’ Launches on Avalanche, Bringing the Mega-Hit IP On-Chain

OtherWorld has announced today the launch of closed-beta for ‘Solo Leveling: Unlimited’ (SL:U), a new digital collectibles platform based on the mega-hit webtoon ‘Solo Leveling’ IP. Solo Leveling remains a cult favorite and now a Web3-enhanced extension of the franchise, featuring digital collectibles, is coming to Avalanche.

SL:U mirrors the captivating world, storyline, and prose of Solo Leveling, empowering users to actively participate and engage with the narrative through an innovative reward system. Leveraging Avalanche’s technology stack, OtherWorld is building a custom layer 1 blockchain, featuring gasless NFT transactions, and providing a smooth user experience for non-crypto natives. OtherWorld will also use the platform for future webtoon IPs and K-pop groups.

Solo Leveling has grown beyond its initial web novel into a webtoon with over 14 billion views worldwide, expanding into an anime, a sequel webtoon called Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, a live-action drama, and a game, Solo Leveling: Arise.

SL:U has been designed to reflect the original story, where characters level up and grow by defeating monsters within gates. Users can obtain monster cards as loot through the gates. These monster cards can be leveled up, just like in the original story, and users with high-level monster cards will receive various rewards.

Additionally, SL:U will be operated on a seasonal basis, continuously updating with community competitions and various fun elements. Users with high scores in each season will be rewarded with a limited edition Sung Jin-Woo Shadow Monarch PFP.

OtherWorld has the exclusive Web3 rights to 26 webtoon IPs that have been hit on KakaoPage, such as 'Solo Leveling' and 'Second Life Ranker’ and can also actively utilize IPs from K-pop artists in collaboration with Cube Entertainment.
