Japan’s MUGEN Chain on Avalanche Records 1M Transactions in 1 Month

Loyalty Marketing, Inc. (LM), the operator of Japan’s popular “Ponta” point program with over 100 million members, reported that total transactions on its proprietary blockchain, MUGEN Chain, surpassed 1 million within a month of its launch. Built on Avalanche, MUGEN Chain connects Ponta members with Web3 services, offering innovative ways to engage users.
In December, LM introduced its Web3 platform, MUGEN Portal, featuring its first service: Sustainable “Community Support Records.” This service tracks and visualizes users’ contributions to sustainability-related activities across LM and its participating partner services. Known as Green Ponta Action, the feature drew over 75,000 users on-chain in 1 month.
By offering accessible and user-friendly Web3 services, LM aims to create new value for its Ponta members, while promoting the mass adoption of blockchain technology.
Revolutionizing Consumer Engagement Through Web3 Innovation

Introducing the Sustainable "Community Support Records" Feature
As the inaugural service on the MUGEN Portal, Sustainable Community Support Records focuses on visualizing consumer contributions to sustainability efforts. Partnering with LM’s SDG-oriented app, Green Ponta Action, the new feature records users’ donation amounts and displays them transparently using blockchain technology. Users also receive rewards such as NFTs and Ponta points based on their contributions.
Previously, Green Ponta Action directed a portion of its app-generated revenue to sustainability-focused organizations, but users faced challenges in tracking their individual contributions. By integrating the MUGEN Chain, the Sustainable Community Support Records feature addresses this gap, providing a clear and transparent record of user contributions at both individual and collective levels.
Additionally, GEOFLA Inc.’s mobile app Prally joined the initiative. Prally’s users who exchange their travel-earned points for Ponta points see a portion of Prally’s revenue allocated to donations, which are reflected as contribution amounts within the Community Support Records feature.
LM invites other companies aligned with the initiative’s goals to join the MUGEN Portal ecosystem to expand its scope and impact.
Driving Accessibility to Web3 for Everyday Users
While Web3 technology offers revolutionary potential, it is often seen as complex and difficult to use. LM aims to lower these barriers by allowing Ponta members to seamlessly log into the MUGEN Portal with their existing Ponta IDs. This effort will make blockchain-powered services more accessible and promote wider adoption among the general public.
